The rapid advances in fields of micromachining and microcontrollers have expanded the application of sensors beyond the realm of traditional fields. Sensor technologies form an interdisciplinary domain that can bring together several modalities of sensing, actuation and signal processing.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

The Centre for Research & Engineering in Sensor Technologies (CREST) at PES University has successfully initiated projects independently and in collaboration with other research institutes. At present the funding organizations for this domain are government organizations. The vibrant academic environment and a tradition of active participation in technical events have resulted in publications in premier conference proceedings and leading journals.
