Crucible of Research and Innovation (CORI) was established in 2010 to carry out multidisciplinary research. The engineers at this unique entity hail from some of the most prestigious government organizations in the area of space technology and defence among others. Industry experts and scientists from around the world strengthen CORI’s range of expertise and skills. The goal is to help students evolve their expertise with multi-disciplinary approach to meet the challenges faced by the industry in innovative ways.
CORI is headed by Dr. Vinod Agarwal who is the Professor with the Department of Information Science and Engineering (ISE). He obtained his Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science. His rich professional experience spans over 30 years with ISRO Satellite Centre and 2 years with General Motors R&D Centre. He has more than 80 publications to his credit. His subjects of expertise include: Fault-tolerant Computing, Embedded Systems and Distributed Computing. His research interests include: Software Engineering, Formal Methods in Software Engineering Reconfigurable computing and VLSI design.
