Zidan is a Counselling Psychologist, a PhD Scholar, an Assistant Professor of Psychology, and a Trainer. His research interests include Gender and Sexuality Studies; Media Representation of Marginalized Communities; Biases in Science; Diversity and Inclusion; Behavioral Finance; and Sustainability; among others. Zidan actively engages with and contributes to a diverse range of academic writing and research projects, training programs and creative writing initiatives in collaboration with faculty members and student authors. He is associated with various organizations and independent practitioners working in the field of mental health. He has been a resource person for a plethora of workshops and seminars and has organized various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and events. Interdisciplinary Perspectives, Individual Contexts, Intersectionality, and Inclusivity are of utmost importance to him, be it in counselling/psychotherapeutic practices, organizational/industrial setups, or academic spaces and scholarly conversations.
