Dr. Shylaja S S
Dr. Shylaja S S is the Chairperson, Department of Computer Science and Engineering at P E S University, Bangalore. She has 30 years of teaching experience and 17 years of research experience. She has several journal articles, national and international conference publications to her credit. Currently, she is guiding four Ph.D. students under VTU, one Ph. D. student and one M. Tech. by Research under PES University. She is currently heading the research centre “Center for Data Sciences and Applied Machine Learning (CDSAML)”, facilitating research and internship opportunities for students and faculty members. Her research areas are Image Processing, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning.
Dr. Uma D
Dr. D. Uma is a professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of PES University. She has over 24 years of teaching experience and 12 years of research experience. She has done her Ph.D. from Visvesvaraya Technological University(VTU), Belgaum, Karnataka in the area of Applied Mathematics. Currently, she is guiding three Ph.D. students under VTU. Her research area includes Data Science and Machine Learning, Image Processing, Natural Language Processing and Agriculture.
MR. Prakash C O
Mr. Prakash C O is Asst. Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of PES University. He has over 18 years of experience in teaching profession and pursuing his Ph.D. in the area of Social Media Analytics. His focus of research is on event detection using social media streams
MS. P Rama Devi
Ms. P Rama Devi is Asst. Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of PES University. She has over 14 years of experience in teaching profession and pursuing her Ph.D. in the area of Image Processing. Her focus of research is on Image Captioning in Natural Scene Images and Scene Understanding.
MS. Chitra G M
Ms. Chitra G M is Asst. Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of PES University. She has over 10 years of experience in teaching profession and pursuing her Ph.D. in the area of Image Processing and Computer vision. Her focus of research is on material characterization.
MS. Ashwini M Joshi
Ms. Ashwini M Joshi is Asst. Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of PES University. She has over 15 years of experience in teaching profession and pursuing her Ph.D. in the area of Social Media Analytics. Her focus of research is on Recommender Systems, Opinion Mining and Sentiment Analysis.
