The undergraduate degree in computer science offers rigorous study and training for students interested in the fast-evolving science of computing. All our courses are designed to provide a solid foundation in the field, while including skills values by industry.

Computer Science (CSE)

  • Optimal mix of fundamental theory and practical, current, industry-relevant subjects
  • Equips students for post-graduate courses in the best global universities
  • Students build specialist knowledge in the field of applied computer sciences with the flexibility to follow their interest through the choice of optional modules, courses and electives

Electronics & Communication

  • Project-based learning to develop problem-solving skills in students
  • Special topic courses for a hands-on, project-based approach

Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning)

  • Robust pedagogy combined with out-of-the-box assignments and project ideas
  • Industry/research based one-year internships to gain practical knowledge
  •  Peer learning via PESU I/O (Peer to Peer collaborative learning platform)
  • One-year Capstone Project
  • Strong focus on statistical modeling, data visualization, machine learning, microprocessor, analysis of massive data sets and acquisition
  • Topics include cloud computing, big data, deep learning, cyber-security and AI methods in different fields like IoT and explainable AI
  • Interaction with  senior data scientists who share their experience of solving of real life Machine Learning programs

Electricals & Electronics

  • Deals with the science and technology involving electricity, electronics and electromagnetism to design, construct and maintain products, services and information systems
  • Theoretical and practical knowledge in a wide variety of subjects, including devices, power electronics, control theory and signal processing
  • Covers both traditional areas like generation transmission and distribution of electricity, as well as new age applications in electronics ranging from telecommunication to computers, nano-technologies and microcontrollers

Mechanical Engineering

  • Equips students to play key roles in a wide range of industries: automotive (from the car chassis to subsystems like engine, transmission, sensors); aerospace (airplanes, aircraft engines, control systems for airplanes and spacecraft); micro-elecromechanical systems, or MEMS (sensors, actuators, micro-power generation); energy conversion (gas turbines, wind turbines, solar energy, fuel cells); environmental control (HVAC, air-conditioning, refrigeration, compressors); automation (robots, data and image acquisition, recognition, control); manufacturing (machining, machine tools, prototyping, micro-fabrication)

Biotechnology

  • Focused on nurturing students who can solve biotechnological problems through innovative solutions and an integrated approach
  • Real-world applications include alternative renewable energy sources, mitigating climate change, producing medicines, discovering new drugs, treatment for health, tackling food requirements and treating water and waste

Major-Minor Requirements

Students select an area of specialization, called a major. In additions, they can also pursue a minor area of specialization from a different field of study from any branch of engineering. For example, a student pursuing Electrical Engineering B.Tech as her/his major can opt to pursue a minor in Computer Science Engineering.

B.Tech - M.Tech Switch Program

Students can opt for a B.Tech + M.Tech degree switch program in their 3rd year of study while pursuing their B.Tech degree.

The M.Tech degree can be in a specialization which is different from their B.Tech degree, provided the student has completed the requirements for the program. For example, a student studying B.Tech with Electronics & Communication major and Computer Science minor, can completed an M.Tech in Computer Science

This requires:
– 4 years of B.Tech

– 1 year of M.Tech

– 1 year of compulsory internship

In this example, the student will graduate with the following degrees

– B.Tech in Electronics & Communication

– M.Tech in Computer Science
