Bajaj Auto Ltd. has launched its flagship CSR initiative “BEST – Bajaj Engineering Skills Training” program to upskill engineering and diploma graduates in the contemporary and evolving technology used in Industry 4.0. As a part of this initiative, Bajaj Auto has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PES University, Bangalore for establishing BEST center with the investment of INR 30 Crore to build the state-of-the-art smart manufacturing laboratories.
The BEST center offers 4-months (Diploma Trainee Engineer – DTE) & 6-months (Graduate Trainee Engineer – GTE) Certification courses for Diploma Holders and Graduate Engineers, respectively. This initiative will provide the trainees with the skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience required to be employment-ready. The curriculum is aligned with future centric topics such as Mechatronics, Motion Control and Sensor Technology, Robotics and Automation, Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing.
Lab Infrastructure
- Four interdisciplinary learning modules consisting of advanced modules like Mechatronics, Motion control and Sensor Technology, Automation and robotics, Smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
- Well-equipped 11 laboratory setups with 120+ advanced equipment for smart vision, Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual reality (VR), Internet of Things (IoT) and AMR , Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM).
- Opportunities to learn 20 + industry relevant software.
- Up to 80% Scholarship for deserving students (100% for the first batch Jan-2024).
- Industry-oriented curriculum and content designed by the experts from Bajaj Auto Ltd., and Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT, Pune).
- Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies.
- Industry-relevant curriculum to bridge the gap between academia and real-world applications.
- Interaction with professionals and experts from the engineering industry.
- Certification upon successful completion of the program.
Study Modules for GTE Program
Eligibility
Diploma Trainee Engineer (DTE) course
Diploma (Engineering) – Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical /Automobile / Instrumentation / Mechatronics or any other Equivalent are eligible for the Diploma Trainee Engineer (DTE) course
Aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grade/CGPA in all years/semesters of their qualifying examination.
Graduate Trainee Engineer (GTE) course
B.E./B.Tech Completed or Pursuing Final Semester – Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical / Automobile / Instrumentation / Mechatronics or any other Equivalent are eligible for the Graduate Trainee Engineer (GTE) course.
Aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent grade/CGPA in all years/semesters of their qualifying examination
Undergraduate students who are in their final semester and doing an internship are also eligible to apply.

Selection Process
- Engineering Aptitude Test: 45 MCQs (Physics, Chemistry, Math I, Math II, Electronics, Electrical, and Mechanical) to be completed in 45 minutes.
- Test Dates: August 3, 6, 10, 13, and 17 from 11 AM to 12 Noon
- Personal Interview
