The Faculty of Law, is working with an intent to create an enlightened and industrious fraternity of law students seeking to make an impact in the field of law and contribute constructively to society. This endeavour was undertaken with an intent to blend academic rigour and excellence with application and practical exposure in order to create a holistic experience for learning and to produce a professionally superior and ethically strong workforce.
Introducing one Year LLM program allows PESU to diversify its academic offerings, attracting a broader range of students with varied educational
backgrounds. It strengthens PESU’S reputation as a hub for legal education, fostering interdisciplinary research and innovation in the legal field. The program creates opportunities for industry collaborations, and alumni engagement, enhancing the PESU’s professional network and placement prospects.
Our programs include specialized courses, legal service initiatives, industrial visits, and seminars by legal luminaries. Each course and project is designed to build distinct skillsets in research, advocacy, and problem-solving—vital competencies for aspiring lawyers. From research paper writing and class presentations to moot court exercises and case simulations, students develop critical skills essential for a successful legal career.
Legal Services Clinics are established with a twin objective of inculcating an attitude amongst the students to provide effective legal and para legal services to the poor and marginalized sections of the society who have difficulty accessing the judicial system. Additionally, it also provides a centre to improve the clinical legal skills of the students. Demonstrating our commitment to society, we have adopted five villages to provide legal services to the under privileged.
As per PESU Policy
The assessment system of the course is designed to cultivate legal acumen and critical thinking in students. These courses entail classroom teaching and include a continuing assessment component comprising assignments, research papers, presentations, class participation, moot court exercises, response papers, etc. The assessment approach is employed to foster continuous learning.
